So the little journey begins. The drive down was a bit nerve racking. I left the homestead at 0700 on Thursday the 24th with Griffen and Belle as passengers. I didn’t anticipate the traffic I soon encountered. I’m pulling a 25′ travel trailer with a loaded ATV trailer behind it. The current setup pulls pretty nice but I really needed stay alert during the morning commute . I was finally able to relax once I hit Spanish Fork Canyon. I estimate that 6-8 vehicles passed me from Spanish Fork to Price. Apparently I was daydreaming a bit and missed my turn in Huntington and had to take an alternate route. I ended up traveling through Lawrence which is only a few miles south of where I should have turned off. I met up with Dennis and Dave just upon reaching the campsite. We arrived about 11:00
Finally settled in.
Dennis and Dave alerted us to some rock art that was close by so Griff, Belle and I decided to go check it out.
Soon after I arrived and started to get settled in I noticed fellow cacher UTDirtRider roll into camp. A short time later a Mercedes rolls up into the middle of the camp and I thought to myself, who the fuck drive a Mercedes into the ‘Swell’…. Well it was good ole Dean.
The rest of the day was spent trying to knock out the power trail leading into this area of the Swell. I was able to find about half of them before Griff stated that he was done and wanted to return to camp.
Friday UTdirtRIder and myself decided to head out and grab some caches with the intent of reaching the top of Little Cedar Mountain.
